CHRIS MALONE - Creator/Producer/Co-Host
Essentially since the 4th grade, Southern California born and raised Chris Malone has spent his life interested and involved in show biz. He formed a Top 10, two album rock band right out of school as singer/songwriter and producer. Then Chris “went technical", co-creating and installing a multi-million dollar, computer controlled audio/video system, which at the time was North Americas largest. He also spent 3 years as House Sound Engineer at the Moore Theater in Seattle, working on everything from Live Theater to TV commercials and Symphony’s to Metal acts. Other projects included Bank of America, NIKE, Disney, Microsoft, Boeing, The Seattle Sonics, Rainier Beer, and Nordstrom. Turning his sights back to producing live events, Chris worked on the NFL Man of the Year ‘94 and ‘95, Mariners Opening Day in ‘95 and ‘96, coordinated the Boeing 747 delivery ceremonies and the arrival of President Clinton for the first APEC meeting.

While on a much needed vacation to Mexico, Chris tried SCUBA diving for the first time and discovered his next calling. In '99 he became an Instructor, moved to Kauai and now has more then 3,000 dives, most of them with a video camera in hand. Combining his two passions, he took over production of a weekly TV show named The Diving Show. The thirty minute show featured local dive sites, water safety, answered viewer questions and focused on marine biology around the Hawaiian Islands. The show ran for two years, featured local experts and was hosted, shot and produced by Chris.

SHALYNN FLAVELL - Creator/Producer/CoHost
Born and raised in Hong Kong, the love of travel, exploration and adventure has been in Shalynn's blood for as long as she can remember. With oceanographers and marine scientists in her family, a mother who ran a travel agency and a father who spent his early life captaining ships, her passion for the ocean and its incredible creatures came naturally. Shalynn studied dance and performing arts at Seattle's Cornish College of the Arts and the London Contemporary Dance School in England. At the age of 21, life took a major shift – undergoing a bone marrow transplant. After a long road back to health, Shalynn worked for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, fundraising, and served as a public speaker for cancer awareness. She also proudly served as Program Director for a camp for kids suffering with cancer, where she used her creativity and imagination to plan and organize a fun-filled experience for kids – living in the “NOW”.

With her own new found appreciation of “living in the moment”, Shalynn went on a year long travel adventure in 1995, where she discovered a new passion – SCUBA diving. After her first dive, she was hooked – and then spent as much time diving as possible. In 1998, she became a SCUBA Instructor and got a job on Kauai where she managed to live the life she had hoped – teaching diving and sharing her excitement for – the other world!. Shalynn has logged thousands of dives across the globe and now gets to combine all her loves – diving, travel and utilizing her creative mind.

Bryce & Jen Groark
Bryce and Jen own and operate Living Ocean Productions, a professional underwater imaging business – based in Kona, Hawaii. They strive to motivate people through inspirational images, both still and moving – to help them appreciate the importance of our natural world.

Since finding a passion for the underwater world in 1994, they have traveled to 27 countries – including Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tahiti, Raratonga, Hawaii, Japan, India, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Mexico, Costa Rica and the Bahamas.

Their images have been shown in multiple formats, including: Documentary, Television, Research, Corporate Advertisement and Print (both magazine and newspaper). Most recently, they have completed an award winning conservation film for sharks, REQUIEM , which is currently playing in film festivals all across the world.

They have now joined forces with Chris and Shalynn to help create the TV Show, Tank’d.
